Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO Serious Play Method

In 2010 the LEGO Company made the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY idea commonly available through open source Creative Commons License. This has led to an increased interest in the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method.

The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method is a facilitated process, and the results and impact are directly tied to the quality of the workshop design and the facilitation. LEGO SERIOUS PLAY delivers exceptional value, when the process is designed and delivered by a well trained facilitator who knows how to prepare well, manage the process and follow up the final outcomes.

Given that the LEGO Serious Play method is fully open source anybody can facilitate and train others. We therefore recommend you to check the training opportunities in LEGO Serious Play methodology and find the best provider among the global training providers.

There are two types of training providers. One of them is the Association of Master Trainers, who safeguards the original training offer. Their group is focused to traditional approach that defines a master and a learner. When you participate in their training then you get to know the original LEGO Serious Play methodology and experience training from the point of view of participant.

However, there are also many new and innovative LEGO Serious Play trainers who do not necessarily provide you with the whole skill-set related to LEGO Serious Play, but can introduce you to problem-focused training approach, which builds on LEGO Serious Play methodology and adds to it several advanced tools. At their training you will be immersed with opportunities to practice facilitation in an intensive and focused training program.

To identify and choose the best LEGO Serious Play training - do your homework well and decide which approach suits your needs better.
